Do Not Shout at the Judge

The last thing you should do in a medieval Japanese court was shout at the judge. Shouting at the judge was an automatic guilty verdict and many ‘crimes’ carried the punishment of death.

Court Adjourned

If someone connected to the court died they would adjourn for fifty days, and if someone was ill they would also postpone the case.
